• Hello, my name is Gina Hankins.

I will be celebrating 30 years of marriage this year, and I am the mother of 3 sons; my oldest teaches math at TJMS (his wife teaches there, too), my middle son is serving as an engineer in the U.S. Army, and my youngest is in college studying biology. I've got two JCHS grads and one Capital City Cav grad. This is my 12th year teaching 5th grade at Lawson, which I absolutely love, love, love. I received my Elementary Education degree from Mizzou and spent my senior year student-teaching 3rd grade at Belair Elementary. Before becoming a teacher, I worked for several years in computer technology for the State of Missouri.

I believe a good education is a young person's key to connecting with the world. It is my hope that together we can encourage and inspire your learners into reaching their fullest potential...not only at Lawson, but in your home and within the community in which we all live.

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy following my husband's, sons', and daughter-in-law's adventures and spending quality time with my church & extended family. I love to cook, travel, read, listen to all types of music, and walk outdoors around my Jefferson City neighborhood and the Runge Nature Center.
