West Elementary

Hi! My name is Jennifer Long and I am starting my ninth school year here at West.  I am excited to get back to get working with the kiddos and having some fun!  I grew up in Jefferson City and graduated from Jefferson City High School.  I earned my degree in Physical Education from Missouri State University in Springfield and finished my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction at William Woods.  My husband, Joshua and I have a daughter named Quinn who is five years old this August and we also have a son, Nash, who is going to be three in October.  We have a dog named Stark that we adopted and we all love so much. We love going to the park and hanging out in our backyard as much as possible.  

I'm a big Tennessee Volunteer fan! Go VOLS!! And love they are a part of the SEC now and I can make fun bets with the students on the football games against MIzzou for pushups and burpees :)

My favorite food is PIZZA!!! I really love the color mint/teal and pink/ mauve! Love to do projects and crafts around the house like woodworking/ building, redesigns, refinishings, work on my Cricut and sewing blankets and taking thousands if pictures of my kids.  I love interior design and working on my house and adding a piece of me in design

I love working out and going on evening walks to decompress. Love being active as much as possible and hope that my love for physical activity makes my students love it as well so they enjoy being active throughout their lives as well!!
