Hello! My name is Alecia Trusty. This is my sixth year of teaching, and third year teaching Kindergarten. I am excited about meeting all my students and getting to know them all. This is going to be a year of exploring, learning, and growth.  

Here is a little about me. I was born and raised in Jamaica, a small island in the Caribbean. I moved to the United States at the age of 18. Prior to moving to Missouri, I lived in New London, Connecticut. I made Jefferson City my hometown eight years ago.

I am a graduate of Three Rivers Community College in Norwich, Connecticut, where I obtained my Associates of Science in Early Childhood Education, and a graduate of the University of Missouri where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education, and MEd in Learning, Teaching, and Curriculum with an emphasis on Elementary Education.

I am a big track and field fan, and I come from a long generation of sprinters. In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching mystery movies/shows, spending time with my family (especially with my niece Jenayah and my nephew Tajhae), driving on scenic routes, visiting friends, and attempting/trying new things. I have four fur babies. I have a rabbit and her name is Bella Marie (She is the oldest.) Spyke and Skye are Beagle Hounds, and Chayse is a Labrador Husky Mix. I am excited about getting to learn more about each student and his/her family. Welcome to the Moreau Heights family. GO CHARGERS!!
