Hi there! My name is Ashlynn Degn, and I am so excited for a fantastic year at Callaway Hills, making lots of great memories!

I am from Columbia, Missouri where I graduated from Hickman High School! From there, I went to college to earn my Bachelors in Elementary Education from William Woods University. Soon after, I decided to go back to school to get my Masters in Educational Leadership to become one step closer in becoming a school principal. Immediately following, I transferred to Northwest Missouri State, and finished my Specialist in Educational Leadership!

When going to school for my bachelors degree, I actually student taught at Callaway Hills in a fourth grade classroom. For a few years after, I taught fifth grade at Pioneer Trail, but am so happy to be back at my old stomping grounds at Callaway Hills.

My husband, Alex and I have been together for over a decade! We recently built a house in New Bloomfield, and love spending time together outside with our son, Arlo! He is the absolute light of our lives and we love watching him grow!

In my free time, you can find me hanging out with Alex and Arlo, playing with my silly dog, Charlie, or grabbing a cup of coffee at some of the local coffee shops (Three Story is my favorite!).
