Mrs. (Koch) Mastrogiannis
My name is Callie (Koch) Mastrogiannis and I am so excited to be a Cavalier!
I was born and raised in Jefferson City and graduated from Jefferson City High School. After high school, I attended the University of Missouri where I obtained degrees in Psychology and Sociology as well as a Multi-Cultural Studies Certificate. I have been teaching for five years now but have worked in the field of education for longer than this. I started my career at Blair Oaks Middle School, where I was a long-term substitute for 5th-8th grade math. I then transitioned into a paraprofessional position in which I taught math to a visually impaired student. During this time, I went back to school to pursue my teaching degree from Lincoln University. My first official teaching position was at Jamestown, where I taught 9th-12th grade math. After that, I took a position at California High School and taught there for two years. In these two years, I have taught everything from Pre-Algebra to Algebra 2. I was also the Math Team Coach at California and Jamestown and celebrated many team and individual wins with my students. Since then, I have been a math teacher here at Capital City as well as a Student Council Advisor.
When I am not at school, you can find me relaxing at home with my dogs, Achilles and Hadies, as well as with my husband Ted, or spending time with my family and friends. Ted and I enjoy hiking and fly fishing any chance we can get!
I look forward to getting to know all of you throughout the upcoming school year!
