Lilly recommends this book.  Sister Krone decides to side with the main characters.  They are planning their escape.  Sister Krone goes missing and Ray who was a spy, was fired from his position because of snitching.  With six days until the escape, will they escape?  Read to find out!

Jordan recommends this book.  An 11 year old girl named Isabella faces some challenges in life. Her mother is white and her father is black. And her parents split up so she had to go from house to house each week.  Both of her parents met someone new, and got engaged.  I really like this book and would definitely read it again.  I rate it a 5/5 stars.  I would recommend this book to lots of people.

Elizabeth recommends this book.  Bill Ash wanted to be in World War II, so he went to Canada to become a RAF pilot.  He went through some training and then started to do bombing missions. On one mission, he crashed in Paris and he stayed with a fmaily until he was ready to go back to England. He started on his way until he was captured and sent to Stuloge III.  While he was there, he dug a tunnel, then was sent to a Polish camp. While there, he escaped but was then captured a couple days later.  Then he was sent back to Stuloge III, escaped but was recaptured again.  Then the war ended.

Zach recommends this book. This book is really good and has a lot of obstacles the characters have to dodge.  Colt, the boy, has lived with his mom his whole life but could not stay out of trouble.  His mom could not handle the pressure and she sent him to his dads.  His dad is a cowboy living on nothing.  He hated it at first, but got used to it and started to like it.  But, then the city tries to take everything away.

Alex recommends this book. Six criminals and one impossible heist.  Kaz Brekker, a notorious gang member, fresh off a daring victory over a rival gang, has an "unexpected meeting" with merchant Jan Van Eck.  In this meting, he learns of a drug that could destroy the world as he knows it.  He gets hired to tke a crew to break the maker of that drug out of prison.  The only catch is that it's the most fortified and advanced prison in the world.  From top knotch soldiers to being in a frozen tundra, this prison has it all.  will Kz and his crew of outcasts survive or will this thief finally sit down with death?  Read to find out!

Austin recommends this book. Nate and Arthur are playing a board game and Nate says lets get it on and Arthur says Game On and Nate says No.  So, Nate is trying to set a world record but he can't really find one because all of them are taken, so he says I am going to watch TV for as long as I can until he beats the world record, but he does not because his dad makes him do something.  So, Nate is trying to match numbers with other numbers and he is having trouble and so Mrs. Godfrey takes it away and she was having trouble but she got it done.

Austin recommends this book. Dog Man is made by George and Herold and those two kids made Captain Underpants so Dogman got his head chopped off into a policeman then he actually turned into a dog because he was a dog not a human.  His boss always gets mad at him for doing something, and so his boss got a new couch and Dogman was the first person on it.  And, his boss got mad at him, so this evil cat is in jail and he tries to be invisible and it works but not for long.

Harper recommends this book.  This book is about this boy who lives in England during World War II and he gets the chance to sail to Canada. On his way to Canada, they get bombed but he gets on his lifeboat and they sail the rest of the way.

Sophia recommends this book. This book, much like the others, is about 8 sisters and their parents disappear or die (they never say which one) and they must find their power and gift.  There has been some evil people trying to steal their mother's secret project such as their neighbor The Wicket and their relative Crazy Serina, but there is one more person that is evil and you will find out in this book. Who is the third evil person? Aaah, the suspense is too surreal! Read Jackie's Jokes to find out what happens!

Emmanuel recommends this book. It's a new school year for Greg Heffly, who finds himself thrust in middle school and he's undersized weakling students that are taller, meaner and rude in middle school.   But, things were going fine with his best friend Rowley Jefferson in middle school, but things can go wrong with friendship like not telling the truth, fooling your friend and letting them down. Will Greg Heffley make it in middle school?  Will he be able to tell the actual truth to his best friend and will Greg be able to solve his problem of friendship and kindness?  Read to find out!

Sarah recommends this book. This book makes you wonder what is about to happen with every turn.  You may think one thing, but it just might be the opposite thing. There are just fun ways of this bookturning old Greek myths into fun adventures. I really hope if you haven't read this book, you do!

Andora recommends this book. Lora is a girl who is reaquainted with Alexa who is a ghost.  Lora becomes friends with Alexa and has fun.  The story is about accepting age.

Austin recommends this book.  Nate goes shopping with his dad but he does not want his dad there at all.  So, he goes picking out clothes and his dad pulls out brown pants and he told his dad he does not want them.  Then, Nate starts seeing Mrs. Godfrey and he does not like that.  Then, everyone thinks that is funny.  Nate starts saying dibs on everything, so when he says dibs on Jenny, she attacks him becasue she does not like him.  Then, Nate has a sub and it is coach John and when he throws a pencil, he says follow through!

Austin recommends this book. Nate's art teacher was gone because he had something and after a week, he is back.  Then, Nate meets a new friend Marcus and he thinks lacrosse is better than baseball, but Nate says 30 million goes to the really good baseball players. Nate reads the funnies and no one else reads them because he is in detention. Then, Nate goes skating with Trudy and although his other friend DeeDee has a party, he goes with Trudy.  Even he wanted to go to the party.  Then, Nate tries to finish his homework, but he gives it to the gerbil who eats all of it.

Austin recommends this book. Nate tries to find his homework and he does, then he runs into Trudy.  Then, he goes to Mrs. Shiplisti and asks if there are any new 6th graders. Then, she says there are not but there is a girl in 7th grade that is new here.  Then, he asks her what is that new girl's name and she says Gertrude.  Then, Trudy and Nate start dating before Nate and Trudy kiss, then they start dating.  Nate goes to a party with Trudy, but Nate wanted to go to the all 6th graders party, but instead he goes to the 7th grade party.

Austin recommends this book. Nate has a secret admirer and he does not know who it is yet. Then, he finds out that he wrote it himself. Then, Nate makes a new friend that he met from pre-school and she is a really good pitcher. Then, Nate and his friend Peter try to ambush Teddy and Francis but they ambush Nate. Then, this kid says he is out of school and Nate is not so he gets a wedgie and everybody laughs.  Then, a bully grabs Mrs. Godfrey's yearbook and writes that he is a loser and Nate says No.

Austin recommends this book. Nate has trouble sleeping, then he says "I have trouble sleeping in Mrs. Godfrey's Class because she is so loud." Nate thinks Sherman is lucky because all he does is stay in a cage all day.  Nate has baseball practice and it is really muddy, so their coach hits the ball and it sticks to the mud. They have a trip to a museum and his grandparents are chaperones, so they have a group.  Then, this random kid says, "Why do I have to be with the old people?" Nate's grandpa says to go wedgie him, so he goes and wedgies that kid. This is a funny book.

Brie recommends this book. A girl's mom signs her up for a plus-sized modeling competition, so she tries to lose as much weight as possible so she would be too skinny to do the competition.

Sophia recommends this book. In this book, similar to the others, Georgia finds her gift and power. Georgia feels very unlucky this month beacuse of many things.  For example, her cat finds her power before her! Also, at school, Meg (their teacher) gets sick and a substitute teacher comes in and Mandy, their classmate, gets a bad feeling from the sub. Is the substitute bad news?  Or is it something else? Find these out by reading this book!

Ryan recommends this book. Eddie stopped playing baseball after the championship game. He stopped because he was the last out to lose the game. He joined a band with his friends one day and he went to watch his old team practice.  The coach said he should play again but he did not think it was a good idea. He played again and got the game winning hit.

Brayden recommends this book. He feels it is a really funny book and it written in a neat style with caps wherever the author sees fit. If you want to laugh, please read this book.

Andora recommends this book.  This is a story of Romeo O Romeo and her Juliet. The new girl?  8th grade is putting on a play of Romeo and Juliet.  At the start, the new girl wasn't Romeo, but the boy was.  The real question is, does she get her Juliet?  Read to find out!

Andora recommends this book. This is a book about a bunch of scary tales to keep you on your toes (mmmm, where is my toe?), from screams to silliness.  At least one of the stories will make you uncomfortable or sad.

Andora recommends this book.  This book is about a girl who thought that she would kill and be done, but a prince by the name of Charming was great and the story is the beginning of a war and love.  Forgiveness and love are both themes of this story.

Andora recommends this book. This book is about a girl that poses as a real wicked witch, but learns how to turn donkeys into dragons, to hear the chiefs love life and an epic battle and a sad closing with a black cat. This book shows how little things work better than anything.

Raygen recommends this book.  This book is about two girls.  The first girl loves acting. She is in drama club and she has bad grades.  The second girl is the "brain". She is really smart. One day, her mom asked her to be in an act.  At the beginning, the book is kind of confusing.  But, keep reading the book and it is really good at the end.

Chase recommends this book.  This book is about a boy named Derek that plays basketball. He is very tall so they put him at center.  Many games have come down to him shooting free throws, which he is not very good at.  He misses all of them and they lose the games because of it. So, he was getting bullied at school and practice so he trained really hard to make free throws. In the last game of the season, it comes down to him shooting free throws.  He missed the first one, but made the second.  They won the game!

Harper recommends this book.  It is about a girl who was struck by lightning and it made her really smart. She just started middle school and her deal with her grandma was to make one friend and join a club.  She ended up making two friends and falling in love with a dog.

La'Raya recommends this book. The book was about this family where the mom died and left the dad and son living alone. The dad was looking for a job but couldn't find one. The dad wanted to get his son something for his birthday so he went to this stranger.  The stranger sold him a box and gave him rules.  He and his son made a baby out of it and it came alive. The son's friend took the thing that made more cardboard and then the son's friend made something.

Sophia recommends this book.  This book is about octuplets who are about to turn eight years old. Their parents disappear and it's up to them to take care of each other and make sure nobody finds out the truth about their parents. While keeping the truth from everyone, they discover notes around their house telling them that they all have powers and gifts. So, now they also need to try to find their gifts and powers.  Who will find their gift and power first? How will they survive without their parents? What are their gifts and powers? Will anyone find out the truth about their parents? To find out the answers, read this book!

Jillian recommends this book because it goes all the way back to when the team started and is really cool to look back at and see then vs. now. This book is for you if you love the Saint Louis Cardinals.

Ryan recommends this book.  He liked the book as a baseball fan. It gives real and goal facts about players.  There is a lot of information in this book.  It talks about MLB and the top players from the 2018 season.  It also talks about the players when they are young.  He thinks it is a good informative book to read.  If you are a baseball fan, you should read it too.  Also, he wants to know if you think the players in this book should be in this book.  You should go get it now.  The book has the top 20 players of 2018.

Katie recommends this book.  Apollo, who has been turned into a mortal boy called Lester, is fighting the final emperor. This emperor is three times more powerful than the other two he has fought.  If he even survives long enough to get to and defeat the emperor, he has another challenge to face.  He has to fight his worst enemy and reclaim the oracle of Delphi and his spot on Mount Olympus and he has to do all of that without his godly powers.

Katie recommends this book. Aru Shah was sitting with her mom when people knocked on the door. She got up and answered it and two of her classmates were standing there.  One of them started recording on her phone and the other started mocking her. The girls mocking her were calling out her lies.  Then, her classmates mentioned the cursed lamp. They dared Aru to light it and she lit it to impress them.  When she did, the world froze.  She was still able to move though. Then a pigeon appeared out of nowhere.  The pigeon then started talking and explaining what was happening.  He explained that she had released a demon and had to destroy him or the world ends.  Now, she has to save the world and defeat an ancient demon while being in her spider-man pajamas.

Austin recommends this book. In the first few pages or so, Nate likes this girl Jenney, but she is going out with this kid named Arthur.  But, his friend Francis tells him not to like her anymore so he goes with that.  Then, he got a note saying he has to go to summer school and his teacher is Mrs. Godfrey and he hates her.  So, in a few days or so, he meets this girl named Angie and she is new and she is going to summer school too. So, the next day, he tells her he is a detention monitor but he is really not. So, she slammed him into a trash can and then they started dating.

Austin recommends this book.  Nate and his friends have an annual monopoly game.  Nate always thinks he wins, but does not. Nate's teacher got a picture from him and he took it because he likes it. Nate loves going into a comic store because he loves comics. Then, Nate has a peer counselor thing and he has all kinds of problems and he figures them out.  Nate gets his favorite snack from his worst teacher Mrs. Godfrey and Nate asks Frances if he wants it because it had Mrs. Godfrey germs on it.  Nate hits himeslf with a plastic bottle and then Francis wants a try, then he hits Nate with that same bottle.

Austin recommends this book. Nate and his teammates have to go against the eighth graders and they don't win because they are sixth graders. Then, for Halloween, Nate is a bunny and two girls say he is so adorable. In basketball, he has lucky socks and he does not find them, so he has to use black socks and he is not good in black socks, so he will do bad at practice.  The next day, this kid tells Nate he washed his socks and Nate yells at him for washing the luck out of them.  Then, Nate joins Marcus' Posse then when he leaves, he gets clocked by Marcus.

Austin recommends this book. At lunch, Nate and Teddy had a yo-mama smackdown. Everybody came to watch it.  Then, Gina gets yo-mama'd by Nate in class. Nate, Teddy and Frances try making a book but it does not work out at all.  Then, Nate looks at his newspaper and sees his name on there for a good thing and they spell his name wrong.  They spelled his name wrong multiple times and he has to catch them multiple times too. Last, Nate has a yard sale and this kid comes in and says he wants new shoes.

Austin recommends this book.  Nate tries to save his Halloween candy until December and he does not do that.  He eats all of it before December, even the bad candy.  Then, in P.E., his teacher is gone, so Coach John makes them do sprints and they hate doing sprints. Nate's dog and Francis the Cat get engaged and Nate does not like that. In school, Nate and Gina have this agreement that Nate does not get detention for a whole week.  Nate does not get detention for a week, so Gina pays him 10 dollars. He then writes a petition for a guy that does the weather.

Isis recommends this book.  This is the next book of warriors in the series. Food is scarce in the heat that they are dealing with and the new cat that joined their clan had caught a ton of food.  The whole clan was then confused.  Then, the queen went with him and he was breaking the code by taking food from foxes which then later led the foxes to their clan and they dealth with them.

Isis recommends this book.  There is a clan of cats called sky clan and their queen gets stolen.  The house cat helps her get back to her clan, then he joins her clan.  Isis would highly recommend this book to people who love cats and graphic novels.

Maddie recommends this book. There was this one girl who had to move to an all girls school.  But, she met this one girl named Elise.  She didn't like Elise at first, but she couldn't do anything about it because she couldn't risk losing her only friend.  Over time, she met this girl named Rosie, but Rosie just kept bullying Elise. She didn't want to do anything else but join her. Later, Elise got the flu, but soon after, she died because the flu made her too sick. The girls regret bullying her because Elise comes back from the dead and bullies them for all they did and because of all the nice stuff they had.

Maddie recommends this book.  Natalie used to have this girl best friend named Lilly, but Lilly starts to talk to just ignore her. Natalie starts to make new friends but still tries to be friends with her ex best friend Lilly.  Lilly starts to bully her, then, over time, Natalie starts to not care what Lilly thinks and starts having the time of her life with her friends.  Natalie gets to the point where she starts to care less about Lilly and move on to her new friends. 

Rashaad recommends this book. He feels you should read it because it makes you feel like you are there in the book and it is a great read overall. This book is about a girl and her family.  They get into a car crash and her father dies after that.  They move to their grandpa's house that is dead.  Now it is just the girl, her mother and brother and when they are sleeping, they hear a noise in the basement.  They go down and fall through a wall and there is another world down there.  That's when they find a man and their grandpa, who is in bed.  He gives the girl an amulet and she uses it to save her mom from big bugs.

Jordan recommends this book.  In this book, Logan moves into a new house with his parents.  He has a next door neighbor named Arthur and they are a year apart in age. They start talking and Arthur mentions the last owner of Logan's house was murdered.  But, the police never found out who did it.  So, Arthur and Logan became friends and tried to find out who did it.  Jordan gave this book a 5/5 stars becasue it is a really good book, has some suspensful parts, and if you like mysteries, you will love this book.

Jordan recommends this book if you like books that have horror in them, or are mysteries.  In this book, a girl wants to go to a lake house with her aunt and younger cousin. Her mom allows her to go, but that was after a lot of thinking. She then realizes that her mom and aunt are hiding something from her and she was determined to find it out. But when she gets to the lake house, she finds something that happened a long time ago. Jordan gave this book 5/5 stars because she really liked it and would definitely read it again.

Elizabeth recommends this book.  In this book, Eliza is a slave in Kentucky.  She has a son named Harry.  Eliza works in the house for Mrs. Seldon.  She helps with the  children and cooking. One night, Eliza overheard some men talking about selling Harry. That night, her husband came and he told her he was escaping. Two nights after that, she left her hut that she stayed in. Once she got to the Ohio River, she started to cross and the ice started to crack.  Eliza stayed at a guy's house until her master came after her the next day. She then crosses the Ohio River and started her long route to freedom.

Lilly recommends these books.  The first book is about how three kids live in an orphanage. One day, they find out the truth of why they are there.  In the second book, the kids find out their orphanage is a farm and they are the food. They want to escape but with 31 kids, the care taker is onto them. The caretaker wants to know who is trying to escape in order to stop them before they do.  Lilly admits that she wanted to put the book down but ended up finishing the books and was glad she did.

Aiden recommends this book. This is a book about how you can make cool-looking food about Pokemon. It will show some Pokemon Generations 1-4.

Maybrith recommends this book. She reports that it is funny and has a little action and drama, but can be a bit boring.  A part that is interesting is when there is no dogman or the fish with the super powers.

Lily recommends this book.  The timing of the book is 1935, right at the beginning of World War 2. The main character Rachel is Jewish and is forced to change her name, as well as all the other Jews at the serves school. Rachel changes her name to Catherine. Once the spring breeze starts, all Jewish students must flee to the free zone. This is where she meets Alice, a little girl sparated from her family who only has her brother. They have to leave together to be safe.  Alice finds her brother and Catherine meets her love.

Lily recommends this book.  This book is about a dancer who gets in a car accident and is paralyzed from the waist down. She takes a trip to the city and finds a music box that is broken. She cries on the music box and the ballerina comes to life.  The two become really good friends.  They can convince the girl's mom to let the ballerina dance in the upcoming recital.  When the recital is over, the ballerina goes away and the girl is left with a newfound bond with her mom and a new friend and a boyfriend.

This book is recommended by Aiden. This book is the second book in this series. It is about this villager in a mine craft world and the main character is wanting to be a warrior to protect his village, but he has to overcome the challenges. Some challenges involve bullies and stupid mayors. Aiden belives this is a really good book that others would enjoy.

This book is recommended by Chase.  Greg, the main character, and his family, want to take a trip.  Most of the story's setting is in their car where they are trying to have fun going places. This was a very good book and it makes you never want to stop reading it. You should read this book because it is a very entertaining book.  The reasons why it is entertaining are because Greg goes through a lot of problems but he always figures the problems out. He gave this book 4 out of 5 stars because it is entertaining and very catchy.  

This book was recommended to me by my student Trenton. I read this book in one night, as it captivated my attention and kept me guessing what was going to happen next. It was an easy read, as there are 300 pages, but not many words on each page.  The story is a Young Adult Fiction book, and has many symbolizations to the type of life the main character lives in.  He is dealing with the loss of a family member, as well as the lifestyle of the rough neighborhood he lives in.  I give this book a 4/5 stars and think it is a good read for 7th graders of all backgrounds. We could all stand to learn and appreciate something new, or even relatable.
