Lewis and Clark Middle School

I am a hometown girl.  I grew up in Holts Summit, and I still live there today.  I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful boys.  My hobbies include taking pictures, singing in my car, trying new recipes, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys...just wait until you see my Christmas tree!  I also love to read and discuss new books with my students!

 

I am a product of the Jefferson City School District. I even attended Lewis and Clark Middle School!  After graduating from Jefferson City High School, I attended Lincoln University where I earned my Bachelors Degree in Middle School Education.  I completed my Masters in Educational Technology through the University of Missouri-Columbia. 

 

This is my 20th year teaching at Lewis and Clark Middle School and my twelfth year teaching on Team Dynamics.  I love my team!  

 

My vision is to provide a safe and positive learning environment where all students can succeed.  Students will use technology as well as real world applications to help create their own understanding.

 

I believe that learning is something that takes place as part of a community.  Each person, including students, parents, teachers, and administrators, has an impact on that community. 

 

As a teacher, I will strive to bring my best to the classroom each and every day.  I feel that it is important for me to enhance my content knowledge, as well as my teaching strategies, as I encourage others to become life-long learners.
