It is with a lot of pride that I share that our very own JCHS Library has been chosen to receive the distinguished Exemplary School Library Award. This is a prestigious award that only a handful of libraries get to receive every year. This year we were one of only six libraries in the entire state to receive this award. It is also the second time in four years that our library staff has received this recognition. We are grateful to have two wonderful librarians who have worked hard to make our library a championship level library. When you get the opportunity please congratulate Jill Lemons and Abigail Nahlik on their award

"Come to the pool at the YMCA across the street this Friday, February 28th from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. to check out what it's like to be on the Jefferson City High School Swim Team! This event is for all students interested in joining the team. There will be fun, food, games, and prizes! Don't forget your swimsuit and towel and we'll see you there!"

When was the last time you recycled if you can't remember your in luck because the Green Team will be recycling every other Tuesday starting March 10th. Students should be sure to only put recyclable materials such as paper, cardboard, and metal in clean plastic bottles with the sticker removed. Materials such as food waste, pizza boxes, napkins, wrappers, and styrofoam should not be put in the recycling bins. No trash at all. Teachers can request a bin from club members or Ms. Sanders. To give Green Team an extra hand, set the bins outside the classroom door on recycling days
