  • It has been my honor to serve the education field for 13 years. My career started as an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor in both Southeast and Central Missouri. I took some time off from the classroom and worked in the nonprofit arena for a year. But, I couldn't stay away! I made my return to the education field as a counselor and feel so thankful to serve in this capacity.

I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor. I look forward to focusing on mental health counseling while at Jefferson City Academic Center.

At home, it's my husband and I and our kiddo + four fur babies! We have a cat named Tucker; he's moved around the state with us over the past 11 years. Then, if you talk to me very long, you know I have a Shih Tzu named Jemma "Bean" King; she got her nickname when she was just eight weeks old because she looked like a little bean. She's a ball of energy and provides many laughs. Hamlet Bone King is Jemma's baby brother. Then, we also have a big (rescue) dog that stays outside and his name is Frank. Not to mention two miniature pigs and two rabbits!

Caring for the whole child is my passion and providing an environment that prioritizes this is what excites me for the upcoming school year!
