• English 101/102 provides access to college-level freshman composition through Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri. Eligible students can earn three (3) college credits each semester through Lincoln. This is an exciting partnership in education for our JCHS students. We write a minimum of sixteen (16) pages of finished writing each semester. The first semester focuses on writing strategies and more nonfiction reading, while the second semester builds on students' argumentative skills and the reading is more fiction-based.

    • Binder or Folder (to organize your work)
    • Notebook paper
    • Composition Book or Notebook
    • Come prepared for class every day and ready to work hard
