• Course Descriptions:
    Spanish I
Spanish I exposes students to Spanish from the first day they enter the class. The skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish are emphasized along with correct pronunciation at the basic level. Cultural items related to literature, history, and art of the Spanish-speaking world form a part of the course to reinforce communicative tasks and to promote cultural awareness. Native speakers can advance without mandatory prerequisites with department approval.

    ESOL Jaytime

This class is for students who speak other languages and are learning English. I co-teach this class with Mrs. Sponsel who is the French teacher. During this period, Mrs. Sponsel and I work with students to help them complete assignments, read tests to them, and assist with the overall "business of school". We are basically there to help these students understand what is going on around them as their English proficiency improves.
