The mission of the Jefferson City Professional Development Committee is to improve student achievement through professional development opportunities for teachers to continually improve instruction. Effective professional development is a cooperative effort involving teachers, administrators, and school board members. Higher education, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, professional organizations, and community resources are used to enhance high quality professional development.
